DIY Instant Cheese: A Simple and Affordable Recipe

Have you ever thought about making your own cheese at home? It may sound complicated, but with just two ingredients, you can make your own instant cheese or paneer. In this blog, we'll go through the steps to make this delicious cheese at home.

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients You'll need full-fat milk and either vinegar or lemon juice. For every 1.5 gallons of milk, you'll need about one tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice.

Step 2: Heat and Separate the Milk In a deep saucepan, heat the milk on medium heat until it boils. As soon as it reaches boiling point, turn off the heat. Then, add one tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice at a time to the milk until the fat separates from the water. You may need to repeat this process a couple of times.

Step 3: Drain the Cheese Using a strainer lined with cheesecloth, drain away any excess water from the fat. Place a heavy object on top of the cheesecloth to press the cheese and extract additional water from the fat. Leave it for two hours.

Step 4: Enjoy Your Homemade Cheese After two hours, remove the cheesecloth and place the cheese upside down on a plate. Cut it into slices or cubes and use it for sandwiches, salads, or any other dish you like.

Making your own cheese at home is not only delicious but also affordable. With just a few ingredients, you can make a pound of cheese for only three and a half dollars. So, why not give it a try and impress your friends and family with your DIY instant cheese?
